Will Satch wins Bronze at the Olympics!



Many congratulations to Will Satch (06) for winning an Olympic Bronze medal. Everybody at Shiplake is so proud of his achievements, and his mother (Miss Satch) still hasn't stopped smiling. Hopefully Will has inspired many more Shiplake students to pursue their goals and to achieve at the highest level.

Flexi - Boarding

From September 2012 Skipwith House will be offering flexi-boarding to boys in years 9, 10 and 11. If parents require to use this service then please contact Mr Settle for more information.

Skipwith Parents' Black Tie Dinner

I am pleased to announce that, following the success of last years event, we have decided to hold a black tie dinner for the parents of Skipwith House. This is an excellent opportunity for parents to meet and get to know each other. Further details may be obtained from matron. I do hope that many parents will be able to make it and very much look forward to seeing you there. 



Using the Blog

Here in Skipwith we want to keep you up to date with what is happening in the house. The blog will be used more and more from September to highlight all the great things that Skipwith boys do through out the year. The blog is linked with twitter so that any updates are fed straight to the twitter account and vice versa. You can also keep up to date with the new options on the right hand side of the blog.

Olympic Regatta - Eton Dorney

This week we have been treated to an amazing Olympic regatta and today Mr Settle, Mr Crisford, Mr Mackworth-Praed and Barry the boatman were lucky enough to witness two golds and one silver being won by Team GB at Eton Dorney. An awesome atmosphere which I hope a number of Shiplake boys and parents are getting the opportunity to sample. Huge congratulations to former Shiplake pupil (and Miss Satch's son!) Will Satch for winning a bronze medal in the coxless pairs yesterday. We are all so hugely proud of him and hope our boys can be inspired by what he has achieved.
